The Alliance of the American Dental Association annually sponsors awards programs to recognize members for service to their communities and to dentistry. These contributions — large or small — are applauded. Taken as a whole, individual efforts have large scale impact.

STUDENT SPOUSE TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIPS

Student Spouse members are encouraged to apply for a 2017 Conference travel scholarship. The scholarship is intended to reimburse Student Spouses for travel costs incurred while attending Conference 2017 up to $500. The focus of this scholarship program is to prepare the recipients for further involvement in dental health education, legislative activities and leadership positions as they continue their membership in the Alliance. Please note that Student Spouses will also receive all Conference member benefits including a complimentary three nights stay at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya and free tickets to all Alliance events.

BEULAH K. SPENCER SERVICE AWARDS

The Beulah K. Spencer Service Award is a Distinguished Service Award that recognizes members who make outstanding contributions and who exemplify outstanding leadership and volunteer spirit through excellence in service and commitment to their Alliance on the component (local) level and/or constituent (state) level. Established in 1994, this prestigious award honors Beulah K. Spencer. Candidates must have been active tripartite members or members-at-large ten years or less.

THELMA J. NEFF DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARDS

A Distinguished Service Award that recognizes members who made outstanding contributions and who exemplify outstanding leadership and volunteer spirit through excellence in service and commitment to their Alliance on the component (local) level and/or constituent (state) level. Established in 1984, this prestigious award honors Thelma J. Neff who founded AADA in 1955 and served as its first president followed by 19 years as KEY editor. Candidates must be active tripartite members or a members-at-large for more than ten years.

MEMBER PROJECT AWARDS (MPA)

These programs allow us to recognize component and constituent alliances as well as individual members and members-at-large for efforts on behalf of dentistry. Please let us know about the outstanding work that you and your fellow AADA members have been performing in your communities.  PARTICIPATE & BE RECOGNIZED!  We want to acknowledge your efforts on behalf of the dental profession.
